A Supreme Court decision today lifted the McCain-Feingold restriction on independent electioneering expenditures in the run-up to elections and the long-standing ban on corporate expenditures [ here and here].
I have written that when this Supreme Court is done with McCain-Feingold, nothing will remain but its stain on John McCain. This moves us further in that direction.
